The 36th São Paulo Biennial | Brazil
SAHA supports the 36th Bienal de São Paulo, titled Not All Travellers Walk Roads – Of Humanity as Practice, within the scope of Cevdet Erek’s new project, taking place between 6 September 2025 and 11 January 2026. Curated by Prof. Dr. Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung together with his conceptual team of co-curators Alya Sebti, Anna Roberta Goetz, and Thiago de Paula Souza, as well as co-curator at large Keyna Eleison and strategy and communication advisor Henriette Gallus, the exhibition takes its cue from Afrobrazilian poet Conceição Evaristo’s enigmatic poem Da calma e do silêncio [Of calm and silence].
Cevdet Erek (1974, İstanbul) studied architecture at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts and completed his postgraduate studies in Sound Engineering and Design and Music at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) MIAM. During his studies and later, he remained active in the Istanbulbased band Nekropsi. He is a part of the faculty at Istanbul Technical University’s (ITU) Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) and the Turkish Music State Conservatory (TMDK).
